Sullivans Breeding Donors to RCC Bulls at Trans Ova

Yesterday we took some to go to Trans Ova in Chillicothe, Missouri and look at John Sullivan's Donors.  John had mentioned that if we took the time and view these cows, he would flush them to the bulls that we  recommended. We looked though 32 his donors - Total Recalls, Saugahatchees, Irish Whiskeys, Cervazas,  Who da Mans, Heat Waves, Carnac, Monopoly, Firewater, Char outcrosses and gave him our opinion on what would work best...
We Thought it could be helpful to some if we posted what we came up with and why.
Here is a brief description of the recommendations we made...

Believe in Me is a Bull that we recommended be flushed to Several of the Angus Donors and Irish Whiskey Donors of John's.  He will work best on moderate, sappy made maternal type of cows. He will add hair and the  look of what is winning today.

Hard Whiskey works really well on TH and PHA carriers. For Example, 588 Heatwave x Maine, purchased from Tracy 7 yrs ago as open heifer and the Mother of supreme hfr at Louisville 2010.  Bulls like Who Da Man and Hard Whiskey work really on cows like her.  As a Purebred Maine, Hard Whiskey's biggest asset is producing show heifers.

Walks Alone is what we thought would work best on  3820, Step Aside x Double Stuff cow.  She had a red heatwave steer that won CA state fair few years ago. Walks Alone has the ability to produce some of the neatest most powerful steers the industry has seen. Walks Alone also works well on Angus Females with a shot of club calf genetics in her pedigree as well.

Like a BC Lookout / Heat Seeker Donor.

Two Tone works awesome on chars and shorhorns.  Have seen a couple our of Milkman cows that are Phenomenal.  0711, is a Firewater 0641, the char female that Effling showed last year. John Said,   "I thought she was best char females I’d ever seen."  Two Tone will add some muscle and eye appeal to his calves, thought he would work well with 0711.

Man Among Boys is a bull we thought would work on 105, Irish whiskey x DJ Salute. The mother of the steer that won Ft Worth for the Martins, the steer of Guyers that was reserve in Louisville, and the steer of Jorgensens that won the state fair.  She is a cow that John owns with Reimann and Martin.  MAB calves consistently have hair and bone and works on the same type of cows as his sire. Also works well on Friction females.

Lone Ranger is a Bull that We are really really high on.  Many who has recently went by the bull stud consider him the best Black Walks Alone son on the market.  But, he is different than Walks Alone.  Everywhere you may want to change on Walks Alone, Lone Ranger is Phenomenal. He is a bull you can breed to  lots of different types of cows and have success. 61, Cerveza x ground zero x draft pick or P62 of Sullivans are a couple that Lone Ranger could work well on.

Fu Man Chu is a bull that the females should be as good as the males.  The 2669 donor, sired by the shorthorn plus Blue and out of a heatwave cow.  This is the heifer of Luke Elder’s that was supreme champion at state fair.  Thought this mating could produce steers and heifers.

I Believe is a Believe in Me Son out of I80's mother and is also 50% Maine.  He brings as much to the table as any.
